In this video i worked for the set design, props and postproduction. It was a very funny experience and i hope that you like it!

The Count animation

This is the animation i made for the draw "Consonno" about my personal project. I hope you like it!

The apotheosis of Consonno lasts some years, and the tourists' turnover has never kept high its economy.

Consonno slowly fade away, cause The Count wasn't able to innovate it.

In 1976 the final blow hits Consonno: a landslide (caused by the mismanagement of the worksite) fell on The Road and the city became inaccessible.

Shops closed. Consonno dies again and this time is forever.

What will be the future of this ghost town?

L'apoteosi di Consonno dura alcuni anni, e l’affluenza di turisti non ha mai raggiunto livelli sufficenti a mantenere florida l’economia del centro che, pian piano, si spense ancor prima prima del declino di ogni località che perde le caratteristiche di novità. Il colpo di grazia lo riceve nell'ottobre del 1976 quando una frana, presumibilmente causata dalla cattiva gestione dei lavori, cade sulla nuova strada di accesso alla città dei balocchi che gli riserva il destino di "città

fantasma".

I negozi chiudono. Consonno muore una seconda volta, questa volta per sempre.

Quale sarà il futuro di questa città fantasma?

In the new Consonno there was a sphinx, a cannon from Cinecittà, some holidays apartments, a medieval castle as entrance, a minaret and a chinese pagoda. Furthermore there was a beautiful dance floor, a casinò and a luxurious hotel.

Behind the Count's plans would have to rise sport fields, a zoo and a race track... but all of this did not happen. The golden ages for the New Consonno were beetween the sixty and the seventy. Thousand of people reached the "Italian Las Vegas" that it was becoming a center of entertainment, parties, games, and special guests. Attractive signs welcome the visitors whom entering the city:

"In Consonno the sky is bluer"

"In Consonno is always a party"

"Consonno is smaller  but the most beautiful village in the world"

"Who lives in Consonno will live longer"

Unfortunately the apotheosis of the New Consonno lasted some years, and the low turneout of tourists didn't  support its fragile economy. Slowly the New Consonno faded away even before the beginning.

The structures already began to crumble too. 

Nella nuova Consonno c'era una sfinge, un cannone arrivato direttamente da Cinecittà e nell'ultimo piano erano situati dei piccoli appartamenti per le vacanze, un castello medievale come porta di ingresso e una pagoda cinese. Inoltre c'era un magnifico salone delle feste dove si balla, un casinò e un hotel di lusso. Nei piani dell'imprenditore sarebbero dovuti sorgere anche campi sportivi, un giardino zoologico e addirittura un circuito automobilistico... Ma tutto questo non avvenne.

La nuova Consonno prendeva vita e i suoi anni d'oro sono tra la fine degli anni Sessanta e gli inizi degli anni Settanta. Migliaia di persone raggiungevano la Las Vegas della Brianza e Consonno diventando così un grande centro di divertimento a pieno regime con serate danzanti, giochi divertimento e grandi ospiti (inclusi i Dik Dik a Pippo

Baudo).

Invitanti cartelli accolgono le persone che entrano nella città:

"A Consonno il cielo è più azzurro"

"A Consonno è sempre festa"

"Consonno è il paese più piccolo ma più bello del mondo"

“Chi vive a Consonno campa di più”

Purtroppo però l'apoteosi di Consonno dura alcuni anni, e l’affluenza di turisti non ha mai raggiunto livelli sufficienti a mantenere florida l’economia del centro che, pian piano, si spense ancor prima prima del declino di ogni località che perde le caratteristiche di novità.

Le strutture cominciarono già a sgretolarsi.

Despite the Count's promised the village was completely demolished except for the church, one house and the cemetery.

All the inhabitants were forced to leave or camped in yards. The demolition proceeded while the inhabitants were still living their houses and they had to get away from their homes. Consonno "The city of catchfools" was suddenly constructed without a well-defined project: the Count changed continuously his idea and sometimes the new buildings were destroyed to build new ones. Explosives and bulldozers flattened a nearby hill for the landscape's view. They were built commercial buildings and entertainment in a variety of architectural forms.

Nonostante le promesse del Conte il paesino venne completamente demolito. Tranne la chiesa, la canonica, una casa e il cimitero; tutti gli abitanti furono costretti ad andarsene e quelli che ancora vi risiedevano si trovavano accampati
nei cantieri. Inoltre è chiaro come il tutto avvenne mentre gli abitanti abitavano ancora le loro case e dovettero letteralmente scappare in fretta e furia dalla loro abitazioni. Consonno città dei balocchi viene costruita in maniera improvvisata, senza un progetto ben definito: il Conte Bagno fa costruire quanto pensa una mattina ed il giorno dopo la fa demolire perché ha cambiato idea. Attraverso esplosivi e ruspe venne appiattita una collina adiacente a favore del panorama. Furono quindi costruiti edifici commerciali e di intrattenimento nelle più svariate forme architettoniche in un complesso che al giorno d’oggi verrebbero definite senza alcun dubbio chich.
